Edible Streets & Suburbs Revolution
Edible Streets Program is a an initiative of Global Food Relief that aims to gather community around the idea of transforming disused places in their town into edible landscapes and allowing the veggies thus grown to be shareable for anyone to eat.
Such a revolution starts with individuals from the community getting stuck into growing veggies in whatever piece of public space that is disused. It then swells into large group of community growing more veggies in more disused spaces which act as sharing hubs.
The enhanced sharing then transforms the local community & economy, thus resulting in a resilient & healthy community built by the community themselves.
